There are many different ministries you can be involved in at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Our Church Ministries empower parishioners to live out their baptismal call to serve the needs of those living right in their own communities. On Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass lay participation include: Sacristan, Greeters, Lectors, Altar Servers, Ushers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. After Mass, for fellowship in the church hall, set-up and clean-up of refreshments served. If you would like to become involved with the Church Ministries please contact the parish office.
“I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you made me welcome; lacking clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me; in prison and you came to see me … In truth I tell you, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it to me.” (Matt. 25:35-36, 40)
In today's world of so many conflicting voices competing for our attention and allegiance, the rock upon which Jesus founded His Church indeed brings clarity to our vision and and perspective on life.
"The Eucharist is the heart and the summit of the Church's life, for in it Christ associates his Church and all her members with his sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving offered once and for all on the cross to his Father; by this sacrifice he pours out the graces of salvation on his Body which is the Church." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1407, 1994)
"You shall worship the Lord your God' (Matthew 4:10). Adoring God, praying to him, offering him the worship that belongs to him, fulfilling the promises and vows made to him are acts of the virtue of religion which fall under obedience to the first commandment." (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2135, 1994)
